Our thoughts on Inquiry...
To begin our project, we did a Thinglink to sort out our ideas, thoughts and questions about inquiry. Thinglinks are very engaging (and cool); we highly recommend you try some with your students!
Three Types of Inquiry
This follows the gradual release model and allows for differentiation for all students at various levels:
GUIDED INQUIRY - where the teacher assists students throughout the entire process.
BLENDED INQUIRY - a mix of guided and open, where the teacher decides when to step in and when to give students autonomy
OPEN INQUIRY - students choose the questions and design and conduct their own investigations
